Friday 28th February – babble & smokescreen allnighter @ Junction 21 Midland St, Leicester. Should be a great night, deep funkin house music provided by Smokescreen DJ’s Rob, Steve, Tom and Banksy. These guys really know what they’re doing, having DJ’d around the world and with many releases on labels such as Drop Records and Procreation. Quality tunes will also be provided by babble regulars the lovely Debs and Mr Rob. In room two you will find a variety of delights: john peel junior will be serving up some funky downtempo delicacies, plus some heavy slices of dub from dubsomniac and the lovely Lady P of Glasgow based Mungo’s hifi.
You can catch babble out and about this month – first up are mono and mr rob at deep cartel (casbah, exeter) on 20th february – email info@babble.org.uk if you need directions, followed a couple of nights later by another return visit – debs at the peg party 22nd february in london for info and tickets to this one email pegparty@yahoo.co.uk.
Update – the Casbah has lost its entertainment license, so the Exeter gig is being rescheduled – sorry!!
March 21st will see us return to the International Arts Centre again – thanks to all who made the last one such a funktastic event!
Finally, may we bring to your attention www.wwfm.co.uk, providers of the sunday roast radio show with gary and dave [foot therapy] – guest mix by debs on sunday 13th april.
