Damien’s production partnership with Tom from Smokescreen as Special Interest continues to go from strength to strength. You can hear one of their dj sets over at undergroundhouse.net.

3rd December @ Leicester Square its been a long time coming but finally I can announce that we have sorted out our first date for this party season… and its gonna be a big one! DiY turn 15 this year and the babble upstarts not so far behind at a venerable 11 years old. To celebrate we’re going back to a venue which has good memories for us, Leicester Square (aka “Rack and Roll”). The place has been given a makeover and a mighty new soundsystem. More details to come but stick it in your diary, we want to see all the babble faces there, old and new!

If you can’t wait till then check out MDW40 - this Saturday (16th Oct) at the Attik. These deep house afficionados never fail to please, so get your arse down there for a fat, friendly night out. There’s a writeup on MWD40 over at the bbc from 2003.

25th September - Bustin Loose - Atlantis 1 Wellington St, Leicester. Atlantis has closed its doors, but will reopen for one last time for an allnight extravaganza of house music. The Littlemen (Mobiletrax) headline, very ably supported by Andy Kinky and the Bustin Loose Crew (Damien, Tom and Theo). Extra PA supplied by babble will ensure the house grooves reach deep into your dancin tackle. 10pm till morning, only £4 on the door.

14th August - Shivoo - Atlantis 1 Wellington St, Leicester. Debs plays a guest spot alongside Da Sunlounge from Myna Music - promises to be a quality night.

17th July - Bustin Loose - Atlantis 1 Wellington St, Leicester. Deep house music for your soul at this friendly venue, Damien and Bov will be on duty…

10th / 11th July nr Ely - Free Party - Legal Site - Return to Smilie Fields get yer dancin boots out, deep house action outside this weekend courtesy of SAS, the mighty Positive Sounds will also be in attendance. click here for flyer.

Well, I haven’t posted for a while so here’s a few words to let you know we at babble hq are still alive… first off a big thanks to Andy and Laurence for making the last babble club night until the autumn the best of the season… if you were lucky enough to be there you’ll know they absolutely rocked the place! Great to see the dancefloor absolutely full and bouncing.

Hope a few of you made it out to the free party the next day, thanks to all who helped make it happen, you know who you are. Sorry there wasn’t more advance notice on the website but since the old bill seem to be fairly on the case of free fun (boooo) at the moment we couldn’t advertise what we knew until late on… the party got shut down around 4am but did continue in a smaller, more cheeky fashion for the rest of Sunday (hooray!).

Thanks also to the Doji / BWPT boys for a day of “music and fun” (hee hee) at the Ship Inn on the monday… lived up to its billing!

Friday 28th May @ Havana Yeoman St. Leicester (map) 10pm - 3am. This month we’re featuring some Deep House Joustin with the Inland Knights. We’re really looking forward to having the Drop music boys back at babble, as its been a couple of years since they last kept the dancefloor full for us - always a treat! Our very own Damien and Debs will be serving fat slabs of chunky house on the side. This will be our last club night until the autumn, but keep an eye on the website or sign up for free party news

Friday 30th April @ Havana Yeoman St. Leicester (map) 10pm - 3am. This month we’re playing host to the talented MWD40 crew, including 2mDave, notWill and markNotBob… babble dj’s mono and rob forreal complete the line up to provide another night of deliciously chunky underground house sounds.

Thanks to all who came out to play last month. Sorry about the drastically increased security policy, it was as much of a surprise to us as it was to many of you! We have discussed the issue with the club owner and are hoping things will be more relaxed next time round.

Friday 26th March @ Havana Yeoman St. Leicester (map) 10pm - 4am. We’ve negotiated a special late finish for this extra special guest, DJ Rasoul (Soulfood), all the way from sunny San Francisco. We’re proud and honoured to have him come and play for us, as we all rate his productions as among the best. We babble boys and girls are almost bursting with excitement about this one - don’t miss out, should be a blinding night of luscious grooves. We’re anticipating a full house, so get down early. P.S. Rasoul can be pronounced Ra - soul, but we prefer “Russell” and will be making jokes about bushes all night. Indulge us, yes, we have lost it, but only slightly, and in a nice way

Friday 27th February @ Havana Yeoman St. Leicester (map) 10pm - 3am. We’ll be at Havana on the last friday of every month for the forseable future, after the great turnout we had last time - thanks for coming down! February sees babble playing host to the Alpha Dogs (DiY recordings) - should be a wicked night again.

If anyone lost a duffle coat at the last night, or a or a hoodie at my house afterwards, let us know!
