Heyup babblers, fancy a little get together? Yes? Good!

Get yourselves down to Lallie Bella on Friday 20th March. Main room soundsystem will be a Techno affair, provided by Doji/BWPT with a guest slot for Debs (tech house set). Mini - babble will be on the very top floor in the bar - not the full soundsystem as its kind of an awkward space and lots of stairs, but there is a nice outside roof terrace adjoining the bar. We will be taking PA just not the really big bits DJ’s upstairs will include Lobstafari, Mono, Damien and Rob Forreal.

Festivities kick off at 9pm and run through till 4am.

Good news for deep house lovers, we’ve got one big babble birthday party lined up for you! babble turns 15 years old this year, and we’re planning on celebrating in style. We’ll be making full use of both rooms at the charlotte, with the full babble pa pounding out the grooves downstairs and long jon providing a feast of funksome delights upstairs along with the lobstafari and special guest Glasgow’s Lady P of Thunderbug / Bedlam Boudoir fame.

Please come down and join us, it would be great to see old friends and new… seeing a room full of happy smiling faces throwing some serious and not so serious moves is what we do it for!

Festivities kick off at 10pm through to 3am. £3 entry before 11pm and £5 afterwards.

MWD40 + Intent Sound System are hitting Esko bar in Leicester this Friday 12th September. 11 till 4am - FREE ENTRY. They’ve kindly asked me (mono) to play too which I’m looking forward to. I’ll be joined by the mwd40 regulars notWill, KN Ben and markNotBob - come down and dance away the night to some deep house funk grooves!

Thanks to everyone who came down and made Saturday another wicked night! Despite a slightly lower turnout than last time you groovers did us proud, keeping the dancefloor buzzing right through till 4am (that trip to the council for the late license was worth it after all!). Hey groovers, get it in your diary, we’ll be back rocking the joint at Keos on the 14th of June. Looking forward to seeing you all! More details to follow…

… and here they are! Ooo blimey this one has crept up quick on me. We’ve been scurrying around like crazy things modifying and adding things to the soundsystem so it should sound even better than last time! We’ve spent some of the hard earned pennies you pay on the door for our gigs on fixing one of our old amps and buying a new mahoosive one to make the bass super wobbly.

In the house room we’ll have babble residents mono, debs, rob and damien spinning the tunes, and very excited they are about doing it too, lots of new records to seduce your dancing intentions.

The second room will be hosted again by Long Jon with his ever expanding setup, new sound there and more lights. Lobstafari will also be gracing the decks with his fishy stylings, and we’re proud to announce a return to the decks of none other than Big Al who specializes in most funksome grooves.

It all kicks off at 10pm, late license has been approved by the council so we’re good to go till 4am provided there are no last minute objections. Get down before 11pm for £4 entry, £6 after.

Fat sounds, friendly folk, fuckin’ ace night! Thanks babblers one and all for making last Sat one of the best babble nights for a long time. Lets do it again soon…

Public service announcement - Miss S. McLaughlin left her handbag, phone, cashcard and (naughty girl) a large bottle of vodka at the club. Call Keo’s on 0116 2622929 to get it back (although I think the manager may be away on holiday for a couple of weeks now - hopefully someone will be there to give it to you if you’ve not got it already).

Happy New Year to you all! We’re back at Keo’s bar above the Music Cafe on Braunstone Gate on Saturday the 26th January 2008. Time to start dancing off all those chocolates! 10pm - 4am, £3 before 11pm, £5 after.

We’ll be celebrating life in general but also the birthdays of good friends Chris, Dave, Gail, Becs and Jackie, so get the date in your diary - don’t miss out!

babble djs damien, rob, mono and debs will be providing the deep house grooves, along with special guest Not Will from MWD40. We’ll have a second room hosted by Long Jon, Lobstafari and Dave.

Fancy dress is encouraged on an animal theme, but is optional!

Also we have some work still to do but are hoping to be using some new bass bins which should double our trouser flapping output - another reason to come down for some lovely house vibrations.

Well here we go… buckle your dancing sandals down securely, for we will be grooving the night away again very soon! The venue is Esko on Humberstone Gate, Leicester - its only wee so get down early.

Its only 2 quid to get in and the party runs from 11 till 4am.

Dj’s include babble’s rob forreal, debs, mono, damien and lobstafari, and from MWD40 you’ll get to hear notWill, markNotBob and KN Ben.

What a fantastic night! Thanks to everyone who made it such a blast. I think we had more help with the logistics of running the night than we’ve had for years, which made me feel all warm and fuzzy! Thanks to the lifters and shifters, the folk who manned the door, Daz for lending us the backroom scoops, Jon for the lights and backdrops, Owen and Phil for bringing lights and projectors down from Aberdeen and last but not least to all who turned up with a positive attitude, a friendly face and a big pair of dancing pants.

I think its likely we’ll be back at Keo’s again sometime soon; we know some things aren’t perfect but its a good size, the 4am license is a definite plus and the security were fantastic. We’ve got two rooms to play with, and a full line up of dj’s for both! One room will be dedicated to house music, with dj sets from damien, deb, rob and mono. The second room will feature a wider range of sounds provided by lobstafari, jamie (jammy g), davo and I’m chuffed to say we’ll also have a set from one of babble’s founders, long jon.

Jon and Jayne will also be helping us decorate the place with their fantastic backdrop collection so the place should look spanking.

Its been a few months since the last outing so get yourselves down, get your dancing pants on and lets have some fun!
